Description:
Shrubs, to 1.5 m tall. Leaves simple, opposite, 12 x 5 cm, ovate-oblong, acute, subcordate at base; domatia glandular; nerves 10-15 pairs; sessile or subsesssile. Flowers 3-6 together, in terminal clusters, 7 mm long, shortly pedicelled. Calyx 2 mm long, lobes 4, ovate, acute. Corolla white, densely hairy within. Anthers sessile. Berry 1 cm across, globose, emarginate, deep blue; seed 1, globose or ellipsoid.
