Description:
Erect annual subshrubs, to about 3 m tall; lower part of stem swollen and pith like. Leaves 11-25 cm long; leaflets 10-23 pairs, 1.5-3.2 x 0.4-0.7 cm, oblong, base cuneate, apex obtuse and apiculate, thinly hairy beneath; stipules lanceolate-caducous. Racemes lax, to 14 cm long, drooping. Flowers 2-2.6 cm long, yellow, fragrant; pedicels 0.8-1.5 cm long. Calyx 6-8 mm long, campanulate; lobes triangular. Standard to 2.2 x 1.8 cm, obovate, purple dotted; appendages triangular. Staminal sheath 1.5-1.8 cm long. Pods 18-26 cm long, linear, pendulous, somewhat twisted, slightly torulose.
