Description:
Large shrubs or small trees, 3-6 m high, unarmed. Leaves 15-25 x 5-10 cm, elliptic, entire, densely hairy below, sparsely above; nerves prominent; stellate hairs with equal arms; petioles 4 cm long. Cymes terminal or subterminal; peduncle 5 cm long, stout. Flowers many, erect, densely packed; pedicels 1 cm long; corolla white, densely pubescent outside. Capsule 8 x 8 mm, orange-yellow, hairy when young.
