Description:
Erect parasitic herbs; dark brown when dry. Leaves reduced to scales, 8 mm long, lanceolate, obtuse, sessile. Spikes terminal, to 20 cm long; bracts 6 mm; bracteoles 2 mm; flowers pink; calyx tube 5 mm, lobes 2 mm, lanceolate, acute, hairy; corolla tube 11 mm, slightly pubescent above the middle, lobes 6 mm, subequal, obovate; filaments 1 mm; anthers 1 mm; ovary 2 mm, oblong, style 4 mm, stigma thickened. Capsule 6 x 4 mm, beaked with persistent style.
