Description:
Subshrubs, densely villous. Leaflets 13-19, to 7 x 2 cm, oblong, apex obtuse, mucronate, mid-nerves impressed, densely silky below and ciliate along the margins; petiole to 3 cm, petiolule 3 mm, stipule 1 cm, ovate, tomentose. Panicles pseudoaxillary, tomentose, to 15 cm long; flowers red; pedicels 8 mm; bracts 4 mm; calyx tube 5 mm, campanulate, lobes 3 x 2 cm, ovate; standard petal 3 x 2 cm, obovate, sericeus outside; wings 2 x 0.5 cm; keel 2.5 cm long, united, all petals clawed; staminal tube 2 cm, filaments 3 mm; anthers 1.5 mm, oblong; ovary 2 cm, densely hirsute, style 1 cm, bearded. Pod densely woolly, seeds many.
